A new analysis from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington reveals a startling and disturbing truth: at least thirty-three January 6 insurrectionists who received Trump pardons or commutations have since been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes. The list is not filled with trivial offenses or misunderstandings. It includes child sex crimes, rape, weapons violations, violent threats, and drunk-driving collisions that killed innocent people. Six pardoned offenders have been charged with child sex crimes, ranging from assault to possession of child pornography. Two others face rape charges. Several have been arrested on illegal weapons charges, including men with previous domestic violence convictions.
