In Trump’s first term, the chaos was often chaotic: internal resistance, rival factions, aides doing damage control, officials quietly leaking warnings. This time, it’s more streamlined: fewer guardrails, more loyalists, faster escalation, and much less pretending. The White House operates like a reality show that discovered the cheat code for ratings: keep the public emotionally overwhelmed and they’ll accept almost anything as normal.
