After spending nearly $15 million to paint the bottom of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool “American Flag Blue” and repeatedly boasting about its patriotic color, President Trump has achieved a remarkable feat: creating the nation’s most expensive algae farm. Just days after being unveiled as a symbol of American greatness, the pool turned a murky green. Nature, it turns out, remains stubbornly unconvinced by branding exercises. The project now stands as a fitting monument to Trump vanity: over budget, overhyped, and ultimately defeated by pond scum.
