Another week, another story involving Ken Paxton, political donors and suspiciously convenient timing. The latest is that the chair of Texas Tech board of regents donated nearly $275,000 to Paxton’s Senate fundraising committee one day before Paxton’s office rode to the rescue of Texas Tech in its bizarre Brendan Sorsby gambling fiasco.
