It is very easy for anyone (including the MAGA people themselves) to read into Trump's desperation to divert attention away from the Epstein files, the level of concern that such a matter generates for him. And that level is VERY high. He has thrown all kinds of bait at audiences seeking to distract them. From advocating a change of sugar in Coca Cola to suggesting the arrest of former presidents. He has tried generating hatred, suggesting more conspiracies, insulting TV stars and even his own base that demands explanations. He has even appealed to empathy by making public a personal health problem (which, for someone who constantly brags about his "great health", is no small thing), ignoring that his own fans see empathy as a weakness.
