Last week, the GOP majority in Tennessee's statehouse ousted two young black lawmakers for protesting against gun violence, while allowing a white female legislator who did the same thing to remain in their company. This blatant act of racism was not lost on Nashville's Metro Council, who voted to reinstate Justin Jones.
