Why are some Republicans in Congress suddenly kind of, sort of talking about maybe—finally—doing their jobs? My take: Trump’s grip on his base is starting to show some cracks, and last November’s elections scared the hell out of them. These lawmakers aren’t rediscovering courage or conscience; they’re running the numbers.
