The Winter Olympics are supposed to showcase courage under pressure. But this year, one of the bravest acts didn’t happen on the ice or the slopes. It happened at a microphone.
Amber Glenn, fresh off winning gold for Team USA, did something remarkable: she answered a question honestly. She spoke about her identity, her community, and the reality that LGBTQ Americans are living through what she described as a difficult moment.
For this, she was rewarded with death threats.
