In the world of politics, there are those who are true to their promises—but only until the very moment they are elected… or confirmed as attorney general. Given Blanche’s track record, it would be very naive (and dangerous) to confirm him to such a high office based solely on his promises, without taking into account what the facts have shown about him so far.
