If you want to understand how fragile authoritarian power really is, just watch a man in a frog costume make riot police nervous.
In Portland, protesters in inflatable frog, unicorn, and raccoon suits have turned federal crackdowns into slapstick theater, dancing outside the ICE building as agents in body armor glare from above. It may look absurd, but that’s precisely the point. Humor and absurdity are weapons authoritarian regimes don’t know how to fight.
