Donald Trump spoke to tens of thousands at the Charlie Kirk memorial and said something completely honest, for a change. He announced, in clear contrast to the grief, forgiveness, and calls for unity that filled the stadium, “I hate my opponents. I don’t want the best for them.” That wasn’t a slip. It was a declaration. A pitiless framing of politics as warfare, not disagreement.
