The principle of fairness before the law implies that all punishment must be proportional to the crime and that we are all equal before the law. However, that does not seem to be the case now, when shady deals are being made among very privileged people under the shadows of this administration, while at the same time unleashing all its indiscriminate fury against less privileged people.
