“Come and Take It” is a famous slogan from the 1835 Battle of Gonzales, the opening conflict of the Texas Revolution. The phrase originated when Mexican authorities demanded that Texas settlers return a small cannon Mexico had previously loaned them. Instead of complying, the settlers buried the cannon and challenged Mexican troops with a homemade flag showing a star, a cannon, and the words “Come and Take It.”

Long overdue! And it shouldn't have been SCOTUS, it should have been Congress!
